VME 400m
The VME 400m Video Management Engine (VME) solution offers a standalone management gateway for high availability, redundancy, scalablity and simple integration with on-premises or cloud-based IP storage.
The VME 400m incorporates storage management and gateway functionality for complete surveillance management control at your fingertips and is ideal for high volume environments with data intensive applications. With increasing demand for longer archive time, better video resolution and higher frame rates, each high-capacity VME gateway solution combined with StoneFly SAN storage and StoneFly enterprise cloud storage ensures maximized data retention and scalable performance.
High performance features include the latest eight, ten, twelve, fourteen, sixteen, eighteen, twenty or twenty-two core Broadwell-EP Xeons in dual processor configurations, up to 3TB of DDR4 system memory, and teamed 1 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity with upgrades to 10Gb connectivity available. The VME supports up to 48TB of first day inline storage for live recording.
This fault-tolerant data storage comes in a convenient, space-saving 1U rackmount chassis with hot-swappable drives and trays. Your data is protected with your choice of RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 or 10 across up to four hot-swappable SAS disk drives on an ultra high-performance 12Gbps SAS hardware RAID controller. An optional RAID cache flash memory backup module helps protect against data loss in the event of an environmental power failure.
Additional software, including backup client or server applications may be loaded via its integrated DVD+/-RW drive. A 750 Watt dual redundant 80-PLUS® Platinum 94.14% high-efficiency certified power supply with hot-swappable modules ensures continuous up-time and reduced electrical consumption.
The VME 400m supports an optional Cloud Connection for video archiving. Live recordings continue to be stored directly on the VME’s local and SAN storage, while archived footage can be written to and read from a secure StoneFly Cloud Drive hosted in Microsoft Azure or the StoneFly Cloud Business Center.
StoneFly Cloud Drives utilizing remote block or file storage are created as a virtual drive on the VME that will be recognized as if it were a regular local disk drive. Easily add mass amounts of storage for video archives on the VME in a matter of minutes, all without any investment in additional servers and storage appliances. Combining a StoneFly Cloud Drive subscription with a DNF Security Video Management Engine will immediately save on capital and operating expenses, enabling organizations large and small to implement offsite video archival and backup inexpensively.
