Previously, the storage calculator determined the proper amount of storage space required for a new or existing video surveillance system using the provided details. Image resolution, FPS (frames per second), recording hours per day, video compression method (H.264, MJPEG, MPEG, JPEG), storage retention length, motion detection, activity per day, and number of cameras are also part of the details that the calculator incorporates in its recommendations.
While these features have been retained, the additional feature included in the recommendation is the NVR (Network Video Recorder) recommendation. And to simplify the utilization of the calculator, the GUI (Graphical User Interface) has been enhanced to be visually pleasing and simple to use.
Despite the amazing features, the IP camera storage calculator remains free to use without any sign up requirements. The calculator also facilitates print outs of the suggested results and emails for future reference.
